OVERVIEW

The Marketing Department at the University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business invites applications for a full-time, clinical faculty position in the area of marketing, beginning in September 2026. Clinical appointments will be without tenure and are not tenure track appointments. Primary duties of the position include:

  • Teaching the equivalent of six full-semester sections at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, in a wide range of courses with topics that include courses in digital marketing, broadly defined. Teaching other marketing courses outside this specialization may also be expected, depending on the ever-evolving needs of the Marketing Department and the programs it serves.
  • Engaging in service that includes activities such as undergraduate advising, and institutional service responsibilities such as committee membership, mentoring other full-time and adjunct faculty, and participation in student recruitment and curriculum development.
  • Ongoing engagement with the marketing profession (e.g., consulting; professional organization activity; industry research; thought leadership),

QUALIFICATIONS

At a minimum, qualifications include:

  • M.B.A. or Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivlanet degree) in an area of marketing or another closely related field;
  • demonstrated ability to teach marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels;
  • corporate/industry experience in marketing; and
  • demonstrated expertise in areas of digital marketing including but not limited to artificial intelligence, social media marketing, mobile marketing, paid search, digital marketing analytics, and website design and management.

Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students in marketing, a student-centered approach to higher education, and in engaging in service to the Marketing Department, the Opus College of Business, and the University of St. Thomas.

 

Candidates should show strong promise to contribute to the intellectual and practical lives of students and other stakeholders and to remain current in the field through professional practice, content creation, and engagement with the surrounding business community. Doing so entails a commitment to the departmental goal to be a leading center for education and scholarly inquiry into contemporary issues of marketing and business communication. The department’s faculty members play an integral role in the Opus College of Business and its mission to develop “effective, principled business leaders who think globally, act ethically, and create enduring value for society.”

 

Salary and Benefits

The University of St. Thomas offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits program, which includes:

Salary Range: $95,000 to $105,000

 

The University of St. Thomas has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
