OVERVIEW

The Department of Finance in the Opus College of Business, University of Saint Thomas, Minnesota, invites applications for two full-time tenure-track faculty positions in Finance. The position begins Fall 2026.

 

The Finance Department at the University of St. Thomas seeks to attract, retain, and develop faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds to enhance the diversity of the learning community and to offer our students richly varied perspectives. The department offers courses in the undergraduate program and several MBA and specialized master’s programs in business, providing multiple opportunities for teaching. The department also subscribes to several databases, including WRDS. We seek outstanding candidates with the potential for excellent teaching and high-quality research in finance, and the commitment to serve the Department, College, and University.

 

The Opus College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. The college offers undergraduate, part-time, and specialized MBA, specialized Masters, and graduate certificate programs. QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D.(U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Finance, or alternatively, ABD candidates with substantial completion of the Ph.D. before September 1st, 2026, will be considered. Candidates from all fields of finance are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching. Applicants must have the ability and willingness to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Demonstrated capacity to engage in scholarly research in finance and publish in peer-reviewed journals.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

The University of St. Thomas offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits program, which includes:

The salary range is $170,000 to $185,000.

 

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
