OVERVIEW

The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for an Adjunct Faculty - Undergraduate Spanish position within the Modern & Classical Languages Department.

Salary Range: $5,994 to $6,717 (per 4 credit undergraduate course, 3 credit graduate course). Rate of pay is determined by academic credential and years of teaching experience.

 

 

Job Summary:

The University of St. Thomas Department of Modern and Classical Languages invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach Elementary Spanish II courses for undergraduate students for the Fall 2025 semester, with the possibility of additional course assignment(s) in the spring depending on the department’s needs. The successful candidate(s) will teach in person on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:55 a.m. -12:00 p.m. and 12:15-1:20 p.m.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver instruction using student-engaged pedagogical approaches
  • Provide timely feedback to students re: their grades and progress in course
  • Hold office hours, respond to e-mail, and communicate with colleagues and students in a respectful and timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in Spanish

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior teaching experience
