OVERVIEW

The University of St. Thomas Departments of Management/Operations and Supply Chain in the Opus College of Business invites applications for a full-time clinical faculty position starting in Fall 2025. The candidate will be an accomplished professional with a robust background in management and/or supply chain management, a strong professional record, and a diverse portfolio of experiences. The ideal candidate will have expertise in two or more of the following areas: organizational behavior, strategic management, operations management, supply chain management, procurement, logistics, lean management, project management, and/or other related fields within the management and supply chain domains. They should also have a broad understanding and working knowledge of how these elements integrate and function within the broader scope of organizational operations.

 

Candidates should demonstrate excellence in teaching, strong professional engagement, and a desire to engage in service activities that demonstrate their commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Duties for this position include:

  • Teaching the equivalent of 6 full-semester sections at the undergraduate or graduate level, depending on the department's needs, and engaging in all aspects of teaching, including advising students, curriculum development, and revising and updating courses.         
  • Staying professionally active by engaging in a portfolio of professional development activities, continuing professional experience, and/or intellectual contributions that establish continuous learning about and currency in their teaching area.
  • Contributing to the operation and well-being of the University and its broader communities. Service includes work done to benefit students, departments, the OCB, the University, the community at large, the academic profession, and other communities.

Salary and Benefits 

 

The University of St. Thomas offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits program, which includes:

  • Up to 100% tuition remission for employees and dependents upon eligibility
  • Up to 50% tuition remission for spouses upon eligibility
  • A generous employer retirement contribution of 9.4% of annual salary upon eligibility
  • Medical, dental, and vision options
  • Employer-paid disability, life, and AD&D benefits
  • All eligible full-time faculty may request Parental Leave for the birth or adoption of a child

Salary Range: $97,000 to $105,000

 

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Ph.D., Ed.D., MBA, or Master’s, U.S. or foreign equivalent, in an area of management or operations and supply chain (e.g., Organizational Behavior, Operations, Supply Chain, Strategic Management, etc.) or another closely related field. ABD candidates nearing completion of the PHD will be considered
  • Prior experience teaching management and/or operations courses at undergraduate and/or graduate levels with a demonstrated ability and commitment to excellence in teaching
  • Extensive management-related corporate/industry experience

 

Additional Preferences

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing leadership (in teaching and/or service) toward building an equitable and diverse academic environment
  • Incorporates innovative teaching technology, experiential exercises and/or applied learning in the classroom
