OVERVIEW

The University of St. Thomas Psychology Department invites applications for an adjunct faculty appointment, to teach one or more sections of General Psychology or other Psychology course in the faculty member’s area of expertise.

 

This posting is continuously open, and qualified applicants will be part of a pool of candidates for review biannually.  

 

Teaching load generally ranges from one to two lectures sections per semester, depending upon department needs and enrollments. We seek candidates interested in facilitating meaningful experiences between students and faculty that empower undergraduate students to find success and to solve challenging problems in service of the common good.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

We will consider candidates that have an advanced degree in Psychology or closely related field. We encourage graduate students with an ABD status to apply. 

 

HOW TO APPLY

Candidates will be asked to copy/paste a cover letter into the application and submit a curriculum vitae with professional references. The cover letter should include which disciplines the candidate is interested in teaching. The curriculum vitae should provide evidence that the candidate is qualified to teach the preferred discipline. If the candidate wishes to be considered for a lecture position, they should also include evidence of teaching effectiveness as part of the application.

 

No references will be contacted without first getting the permission of the candidate. 

 

**This posting is for a pooled, adjunct faculty position for continuous recruitment. Review of candidates is typically done two times annually – late spring/summer and late fall/winter.**
