The Physics Department at the University of St. Thomas seeks adjunct instructors of physics for upcoming semesters (summer/fall/spring) including summer 2021 and the 2021-2022 academic year. Teaching load generally ranges from one to two courses per semester, depending upon department needs and enrollments.
Possible course assignments include Introductory Astronomy, laboratories for Introductory Astronomy, and Algebra and Calculus-based versions of Classical Physics. Both types of Classical Physics courses are offered with an integrated lecture/lab in a two-period block three days a week and count as a two-course load. We expect courses to be taught in-person. Applicants should have a master’s degree, doctorate, or ABD nearing completion in Physics or a closely related field. Experience teaching at the university level is preferred.
