OVERVIEW

The Department of Finance at the Opus College of Business, University of Saint Thomas, MN, invites applications for a Limited Term faculty position (initial one year term, renewable up to 5 years) beginning Fall 2020.  The Opus College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International.

Candidates with expertise in all areas of Finance are welcome to apply.  The department offers courses in the undergraduate business program and several master’s programs in business, so there are multiple opportunities for teaching.  Current needs are greatest for courses in investments, introductory finance, and undergraduate finance electives. The typical teaching load for this position consists of three courses (generally two preparations) per semester.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Ph.D. or master’s in Finance or a related discipline is required for this position. A Ph.D. is preferred. Candidates who are ABD with the Ph.D. substantially completed before September 1, 2020 will be considered. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and either a demonstrated capacity to engage in scholarly research or substantial professional experience in finance.   Experience teaching finance and an active research record are preferred.
