The Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for an adjunct faculty member to teach a course in Accounting Information Systems in Fall 2018.
The successful candidate is expected to teach an upper-level undergraduate course in Accounting Information Systems to accounting majors in a computerized classroom. This course is designed to provide students with knowledge of concepts and practices of accounting information systems and the ability to work effectively with computer specialists and management in organizations. Examples of topics include accounting systems fundamentals, cybersecurity, enterprise risk management and internal controls, business data and process management, enterprise systems, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting with either a Master’s degree (in Accounting or closely related field) or significant accounting information systems work experience. Preferred areas include enterprise risk management, enterprise systems, and data analytics. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate accounting majors.
